So I have an Xbox wireless network adapter and I was wondering if i would be able to use it as a wireless gaming receiver to play games on my PC, is this possible or do I have to get the receiver.

No. They do two totally different things. The network adapter allows you to connect to your wireless internet signal to connect to Xbox Live without using an Ethernet cable. The wireless gaming receiver is used in place of the built in receiver in all 360s that allows wireless controllers to sync to it to sync the controllers to your computer.

Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter is a great product and worth my money i can connect to xbox live to talk with my friends, buy points, watch t.v. such as netflix and hulu plus, i can listen to music, keep up to date with the apps it offers, and much wonderful things more. Brand New from Amazon with no install issues. If you need a wireless adapter for your xbox 360 this is the one, you wont be disappointed! i loves it
