Will This Be Ok Now? Hackers.....:(?

Postby Kaley » Sat Sep 02, 2017 3:32 am

Ok so basically my hotmail account got hacked (I think) because my phone started sending me messages saying "username or password is incorrect on hotmail account" for like 2 or 3 days, I ignored it because I thought it meant something else, but I suddenly thought "what if it got hacked"

So i signed in on the hotmail website, and it said "looks like somebody else has been using your account"

So I changed the password and entered a security code, now my hotmail account is fine, but are all the other things safe?

Like I used that email address for everything, and mostly that password :/

Will everything else be ok :(

I'm really scared! I changed my password on most things on my phone (including iTunes) but I did ignore the message for like 2 days :(

I'm so scared, will they be able to find me or take any of my personal info??? :( what will they do :(

I'm 15 btw..

I doubt they'd do alot tbh.. Why bother with a 15Yr olds Hotmail?

Most situations like this the person being 'hacked' knows the person..

In some form who is doing the 'hacking'.

This tends to be a mere case of.. i know your email and pass..

So i will log in and play a trick on you or worse.

I've gained access to peoples hotmail accounts an FB accounts before..

Cause they have pissed me off so i locked them out of both for abit as revenge.

All you can do is what you've Already done..

Change Passwords and DONT tell or let anyone see the password.

P.S: For the hell of it..

Strong Password = 123abc=# (numbers, letters, symbols)

I had this!!! I went onto the help line and stopped the account so hackers couldn't get in! Then I just created a new one! It was ALL fine!

Hope this helps!

If you used the same password on other services, change them all. Hackers will use the same user name and password on all online services, since most people are "lazy" and use the same user ID and password on many services.

You can use the same user name if you wish, but always use a different password for each service. You can use a short form of the service as part of the password, with a special symbol.

[email protected]

or like:

That makes it easier to remember, makes each password different, and also makes the password almost impossible to crack (unless you get a virus that logs your passwords)

I hope you changed it to a good password you know at least 10 characters long, capitalization and lower case, and numbers in it. You may not have a whole lot to worry about unless you use that account for a lot of paid services online because people usually do this in an attempt to steal money from you by perhaps getting a hold of Paypal information etc.

Just make sure you change your paypal password if you have one.

But they wont do nothing with a 15 year old personal info.
