I am wanting a computer kind of cheap budget wise but will either one of these be really good with games

It looks as though that Gateway would be better suited for your needs.

I would say the gate way because it has double the ram and processing speed.

Dells are garbage.

It depends on your financial state at this moment. It's much cheaper to buy a new battery than a whole new computer, so if you don't want to spend a lot of money, go ahead and get the battery. That said, your computer is kinda old. There are things you could do to prolong the life of the computer, but it's on its way out. I would probably go ahead and get a new computer if it's in your budget.

Gateway def. even tho i am not a fan of buying pre made machines the gateway out does the hp in almost everyway.

again even tho i hate amd and ati, it does not make sence to buy a nvidia graphic card with and amd cpu as ati and amd are the same company. out of the 2 you should get the gateway but if you want something better get an Intel core 2 quad with GTX260 gphc card
