What Do Think Is The Optimal Name For My New Cat?

Postby drugi » Sat Oct 07, 2017 3:46 pm

I'm taking care of a cat since my friends place is being fumigated...anyway, he's having some problems and he may just give him to me for a while.

I already have a cat, and I named him Linux (I am an avid linux user...and yes, I know it's technically GNU/Linux).

I was thinking of some names for my cat and the best ones I can think of are

Newton

Ritchie

Wozniak

Archimedes

Schrodinger

Einstein

MVT (short for Mean Value Theorem...he's kind of ornery...so I think it fits).

FTC (short for Fundamental Theorem of Calculus...if you don't understand why I would choose this name I would suggest you google "link between differential and integral calculus").

Euclid (it's more of a pun here...he's totally black so he reminds me of "space"...get it, Euclidean space?).

What do you think?

How about 'Schwartzchild'? You said your cat is black, well there is a link there with black holes i.e. the Schwartzchild Radius.

I have to say that I do like 'Schrodinger' though. Black cats are associated with luck (good or bad) which is linked to the probabilistic nature of quantum theory in addition to that other QM link. Don't poison him though, will you?! :)
