What Do The Different "classes" In Microsdhc Cards Mean/do?

Postby Ping » Tue Sep 19, 2017 5:18 pm

Class indicates the speed at which they can transfer data and is a minimum, nominal rating.

HD Cameras can run from 2 gigs/hour to 120 gigs/hour. Yours is likely between 6 and 11 gigs/hr

The class number relates to megabytes per second. 6 will work on most cameras for HD, 10 for cameras getting 8 gigs/hr or better OR with a rapid burst mode for still photos.
