What's The Best Digital Camera That Uses Aa Batteries?

High picture quality usually doesn't come in the small pocket toys.
I see what you're after but any pocket toy is going to be limited in quality.

One that I know, now discontinued but still available, is the Fuji s9000.
Understand it's not cheap, I've seen it for $1,000 and it's the size of a dslr which is probably too large for you but, it does use

4-AA batteries at one load and it's capable of excellent photos.
Here's one that I did here in Phoenix. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jimsphotost...

Canon SX150IS or SX130IS (if you can still find them).

AA powered cameras are usually the low-end of the market. I needed a camera powered by AA batteries to keep in my car. I wanted AA power as I didn't want to have to remember to recharge the battery periodically.

I looked at all of the brand cameras about 6 months ago, and had decided between a Fuji S2950 and a Canon SX130IS (the SX150IS was not yet available).

I bought the Fuji S2950, and it was not meeting my needs, so I sold it and bought the Canon SX130IS, which to me, is the best camera you can buy for the under $200 market that is AA powered.
Since this was prior to the introduction of the SX150IS, I cannot say what the differences will make.
