What Can I Use To Fill Up My Empty Dvd Drive Slots?

hi mate

as a rule the spare slots have fascia,s over them which are sometimes used for ventelation... however you could also use your optical drive bays for :

1) fan controller ... theres some amazing fan controllers avalible and some can accommodate up to 3 slots ... as the name implies these are used to control the speed of your case fans and the better the model the more fans it can control... I recommend the "AeroCool F4XT 4-Channel Fan Controller with USB ports"( http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduc... ) ... priced at just under £14 this can control up to 4 fans and it also has 2 spare usb ports (v2.0 ) ..... this accommodates one 5.25" optical drive ( dvd slot ) bay .... for a two bay fan controller check out the "AeroCool Touch 2000 4-Channel LCD Touch Panel Fan Controller"( http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduc... ) .. this is more expensive however its touch control and has more features than you would ever use ....it also monitors cpu and case tempertures ....

2) fans ... you can actually buy a optical drive bay blower ... the "Startech 5.25" Drive Bay Triple Fan 3.5" Had Drive Cooler"( http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/cust... ) goes into a spare 5.25" dvd bay and has 3 x 40mm fans behind it ... this is designed to cool hard drive however it can also provide additional cooling to your cpu and graphic card... a great idea

3) card readers.... similar to the fans controller but with more multimedia slots such as sd and xd card slots .....

4) optical bay storage .... the "PC Drive Bay Storage Drawer Box with Screws"( http://www.alibaba.com/showroom/drive-bay-storage.html ) .. is a great idea, and its simply a drawer to store cd,s or memory sticks ... and it fits in your optical drive bay the same way as a dvdrw drive would ... never lose those memory sticks or Bluetooth adapters again ..

and finally

5) optical drive toaster ... yes that's true... you can buy a toaster that fits in the optical drive bay ... the "CrazyPC 5.25 Inch Bay Toaster"( http://www.crazypc.com/other/misc/toast.htm ) fits in any spare optical drive bay and can toast a slice of bread in minutes .... ( note : im not sure if this is a april fool, however I cant find anything to indicate this ) ... but hey, what would your mates think when they see a toaster in your pc ..... egg toasty mid way through those lan parties !

anyway I hope this helps ....any questions let me know

good luck mate !

USB front hubs are good. That and card readers.

If you need more space, you get get a 5.25" HDD bay converter.
