Wacom Bamboo/intuos5 Question?

Postby Slaed » Mon Oct 09, 2017 4:53 pm

Could someone answer these 2 questions:

1. Bamboo has 1024 and Intuos5 has 2048 pen pressure levels. Does pen pressure really make a difference? Can you detailed high quality artwork using 1024 levels? If you bought 2 tablets that had different pen pressure levels, could you tell the difference?

2. Does Intuos5 have a rough surface? Some people said that the rough surface cause their digital pen to wear down quickly? Is that true? Does it feel weird drawing on a rough surface?

I have the small Intuos5 touch and it is not a rough surface.
They give you about 10 extra tips for the pen.
I feel there are too many controls on this tablet and I could have gone with a simpler one.
I like it though.
