It is an ok machine not very good. For high level games you need good graphics like a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M and a fast processor that will make a good gaming setup.

I recommend the Samsung Series 7 Gamer NP700G7C-S01US 17.3-Inch Laptop. Read this review to get rid of any doubts: http://www.amazon.com/review/R38REKVH205...

Its specs:

+Intel core_i7 Processor 2.3GHz

+16 GB RAM

+1.5TB Hard Drive

+17.3-Inch Screen, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M

+Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

+1.5TB 7200 rpm Hard Drive

+16 GB SO-DIMM RAM

+17.3-Inch Screen; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M Graphics

+Intel Core i7 Processor 3610QM 2.3GHz

+Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

And it is on discount: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Gamer-NP70...

Minecraft? You're fine. Skyrim? Don't even think about it.

Hope this helped!

By gaming what do you mean? Different games have different requirements, but I'm afraid to say this machine would have difficulty running any game.

processor 1.6ghz- most games require dual core 2.5 ghz plus

2 gb ram - not enough, most games minimum is 3-4 and then it can struggle.

intel GMA 90 is an integrated graphics card and not designed for gaming.

My recomendation is to look at desktops, the are cheaper and upgradeable, for the price of this laptop you could get a low end gaming pc (if you build it)

That's absolutely no. That's not good for gaming. First, the processor is low-end processor. Then, the graphic card is suck, intel GMA is so disappointing. Wi-Fi is so suck when you play online game.

Considering these specifications, I must say it is a reasonable machine for gaming, but I would suggest not to play games on a laptop because it has smaller chips and a laptop is designed by keeping other purposes in mind, for gaming, you must have a PC or Xbox or play station, those machines and devices are good for gaming as they have a power full support for gaming in their design.
