The cheapest option would be to reinstall 7.

Download the ISO for your version of 7 then burn it to a DVD or use the USB/DVD download tool to create a bootable flash drive.

Boot from the DVD or USB stick then do a clean install of the OS. Warning, that will wipe everything out. If there are any files you want to keep then copy them to another hard drive or something.

After reinstalling Windows 7, run Windows Update. Then install all your programs again and copy over any files you might have backed up.

Thats not the qustion people should be asking; 32 or 64 bit. I would stick with seven if your running 64 bit but upgrade if your not.

Windows 8 is just 7 with a few graphical frills Its not clear but I do not think its available in 32 bit the forums are not to clear on that , but ms said 7 was to be sold 64 bit only but they brought out a 32 bit version.

I have just upgraded I don't play games. its much faster on the desktop and browsing as well less crashes and has worked with all my software and now it recognizes all my RAM 8GB

ever thing is smoother clearer. You need to have at least a dual core processor. You will get less viruses because there written 4 32 bit addresses at the moment. Still need an AV though!

If you have the windows 7 CD just install windows 7 again to see if that works, cause if you buy windows 8 and it doesn't get rid of the virus then that's such a waste of money.
