Problems With Windows 8 Messenger App?

Postby Adkyn » Sun Oct 08, 2017 5:50 am

Okay, so I just got my new laptop with windows 8 and I waned to play around with the messenger app. When I open it, I have no contacts obviously and it brings me to the "people" app. When I get there, it says my password changed and I need to sign in with my new password, although I have no idea what it is talking about and it only gives me the option to close the notification...

And when I set it up with twitter to gt contacts, it doesn't tell me what to do from there...

How do I fix my problem and gets contacts and actually get to message them? Thanks.

Run Windows Update and download all the latest updates. Then upgrade to Windows 8.1 via the Store app. Download the Skype app or install the desktop version of Skype. Microsoft is phasing out Messenger merging with Skype. Sign into Skype using your Messenger account username and password and all your contacts will be carried over.
