Photography For Beginers?

Postby Heardind » Mon Oct 16, 2017 5:24 am

I got a camera, Cannon Rebel T3i, for Christmas last year.. Figured since it's been a year that I haven't done anything great with it that I learn how to! I'm just looking for advice on where to start. Blogs, Tutorials, ect. I'm totally clueless with vocabulary, buttons, ect.. The only thing I've got going for me is a good eye.

Photography For Beginers?

If you're really serious about photography, then consider joining a local camera club.
You can pick the brains of other members and go over things you didn't understand the first time around.
As you gain knowledge & confidence, you can get your work critiqued & get meaningful feedback, try out new techniques & go on group photoshoots.

If you don't have access to a club, then the next best thing is to sit down with the camera's manual and a good basic photography book.
Scott Kelby does a good one for beginners (The Digital Photography Book), also Bryan Petersons 'Understanding Exposure' is worth a read.
