Nook Simple Touch Vs The Kindle (the Simple One)?

Postby Jerryl » Fri Oct 06, 2017 5:09 am

I cant decide which one to get. I can get the nook for $69 and the kindle for $49 thanks to walmart's deal which they give you a 30 dollar giftcard with a purchase. But i cannot decide, my girlfriend has a nook colored, which we could share books and all that stuff if i had one. I like both designs of the machines but like the nook home screen better its just not simple looking like the kindles. So can anyone help me out? and whats some sights for free ebooks that i can download? Thanks :)

Nook Simple Touch Vs The Kindle (the Simple One)?

I love my nook simple touch. One reason I decided against the kindle was b/c of the ads on it. I didn't want to be advertised to. One reason why the kindle is cheaper is b/c it is ad supported. I also liked the fact that I could go to any Barnes and Noble store and read the books for free with my nook. However, I go to B&N often to just sit and read, even before I had the nook.

Another draw was the fact that I knew someone with a nook. I wanted to be able to lend and borrow books. It was a major draw. If we both want to read a book, someone buys it and we split the cost.

You really need to decide what you want from the e-reader. Do you want to spend more or less money? Do you want to borrow and lend with your girl friend? Do you want ads? etc.

Remember that your local library may have e book borrowing.

I would get the kindle if your going to be mostly reading from your device, the nook is a lot more general purpose but nothing beats the kindle for the screen to read from even in sunlight.

while there are free ebook sites around they dont have the best libraries or much choice in general. However i use this site myself for ebooks for both my Kindle and Nook as it supports both and it has more content than any other site i could find anywhere.
