Laptop Overheating From Games?

Postby Roshaun » Wed Oct 11, 2017 2:07 pm

My Specifications:

Compaq Presario Notebook PC

Windows 7 Home Premium

64-Bit

15.6"

Intel Celeron Dual-Core

Around 8 months old

My Issue:

Everytime I play Slender the Eight Pages (or any other game online/offline even if it's a flash game on Newgrounds) I lower my brightness all the way and close every other program and it still shuts off to avoid overheating after 1-20 minutes go by. How do I fix this?

celerons are notorious for running insanely hot.

since it's a laptop, the only thing you can do is increase airflow from the bottom.
you can do this by buying cooling pads.
a cheaper method would be to prop up your laptop so there's better airflow for the bottom.
