Electrical Engineering :

Electrical engineering is concerned with the basic forms of energy that run our world. Whether it's gas, hydro, turbine, fuel cell, solar, geothermal, or wind energy, electrical engineers deal with distributing these energies from their sources to our homes, factories, offices, hospitals, and schools. Electrical engineering also involves the exciting field of electronics and information technology. Do you have a cellular phone or a computer? Wireless communication and the Internet are just a few areas electrical engineering has helped flourish, by developing better phones, more powerful computers, and high-speed modems. As we enter the 21st century, the technology that surrounds us will continue to expand and electrical engineers are leading the way.

Industrial Engineering :

Industrial Engineers are interested in people and how they interact with technology.

All industrial engineers share the common goal of increasing an organization?s efficiency, profitability and safety in a variety of areas - manufacturing, retail, health care, finance, information technology, transportation, energy and consulting.

With Industrial Engineering, you will engineer complex systems. By system we mean any organization and/or business process in which people, materials, information, equipment, processes and/or energy interact in an integrated fashion. By engineering we mean the analysis, design, installation, control, evaluation, and improvement of systems, in a manner that protects the integrity and health of the human, social, and natural ecologies.

Get out of engineering.
It is under paid under staff work long hours including weekend for free since salary will not have time for family and finally if you are laid off or job loss you will have to relocate to country or state making it impossible to have family.
