How Do You Write A Letter On Windows 8 Like The Old Word Program On Vista?

Windows 8 comes with the same two basic text editors name WordPad and Notepad. Go to the start screen and type the name of either and Windows will bring them to you. You won't see the search box on the start screen until you start typing.

If you need an actual word processor then you'll have to either buy Microsoft Office, which comes with Word, or download a free one.

I like to use LibreOffice. It's free software than can read and write MS Office formats. It's not perfect but it's good enough for my needs. Here's a link. http://redmondpost.com/how-to-stop-windo...

Press the power button on your computer to make sure it is on. Place your head in front of the cd drive and press the open cd tray button without moving your head. Do this repetitively until you have learned what you did wrong here today.

I'd suggest you use Microsoft office.
If you do not have Microsoft office you can use word pad.
On Windows 8 pull up the side menu and search for wordpad.
You can use that.
