How To Unlock/change Security Settings On An Hp Deskjet 3845 Printer?

Postby Clyff » Sat Oct 14, 2017 6:26 pm

My roommate keeps trying to print from my printer so I wanted to lock her out. I went to devices and printers and clicked on the icon for my printer. Another window opened up with printer information and settings. Under settings (I think) I clicked on "sharing". It was originally set on everyone but I denied anyone but the owner the right to print, change settings, and see the settings. Now I locked myself out. How can I fix this? Would uninstalling and reinstalling the printer work? I have an HP pavillion m6 laptop with Windows 7 if that makes a difference.

Uninstalling & reinstalling the printer driver software will be your best option to try.
