How Can I Activate A Second Monitor Without Using The First Monitor?

Postby Harcourt » Mon Sep 18, 2017 10:37 pm

I have an old computer (laptop) which died, pretty much.
It would shut down after it turned on.
After 2 years, I decided to boot it up again.
Then it worked.
But there's a problem: the monitor is broken.
Before it was damaged completely and I could still have a vague idea of what was going on, I somehow magically configured a second monitor.
But now, I booted it, it showed on the second monitor, and after I logged in (Windows Vista 64x) the monitor stopped showing me the screen.
I connected and reconnected it, but it wont work.
I shut down the comnputer and repeated the process, but the screen never showed on the second monitor.

Connecting the second monitor with VGA cable to your laptop should display your laptop stuff.

Give it a try.

Hope it helps.

At bootup, try going to Safe Mode to see if you can get to video properties.
If no luck there, try doing a System Restore.
