I can tell you right now, it's a 60Hz Frame Rate...Wanna know why?

Philips does not make 720P TV sets with 120 Hz or more...

The REAL QUESTION you should ask YOURSELF...Does my Sports shows look good or not? Does my Gaming suffer?

If it isn't broken, don't fix it...

IF you have problems, then yeah...buy the 120 or 240 Hz LCD TV set and retire the Philips for the wife or kids (or when you get them)

The Hz refers to the framerate of your TV.
There is no need for a 120Hz framerate, unless you have it connected to a PC.

check this for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/720p

Your exact model number can be used to search online for tech specs and that will show you your answer.
For example, Sharp Aquos has many different models of each size such as 2U, 3U, 4U, and 5U and each has numbers before and after those models that will help you in your research to find if it is 60 or 120.
If you bought a TV for under $1,500 it is 90% likely to be 60.

For Xbox 360, 720p at 60hz would be what you want. maximum video games do not do complete 1080p. whilst the Wii U comes out this 365 days, which will exchange and greater video games would be in complete 1080p. in terms of hz, the xbox 360 (alongside with each and every thing else) is going output at 60hz (or in specific situations much less). The time it takes to transform that to 120hz will upload lag. game enthusiasts hate lag. you could turn off the 120hz putting, yet then what's the factor? - 17R3W
