My Dell Inspiron 1545 Isn't Starting Up Correctly?

Postby Mudasir » Wed Sep 13, 2017 5:13 pm

I've asked this before, but left out some details.

So when i start up my laptop and go through starting up my computer, it loads up, turns slightly black, then the cursor pops up, and nothing else.

I've done a system diagnostic, everything was absolutely fine!!

So after that i went to start it up in safe mode, and then the same thing happened.

After that i chose to do 'advanced boot options' and there was no 'fix computer' or anything like that, and since my computer is old i don't have a special disk or anything.

Please help

jointly as you ordered it did you double verify that it had a in-built digicam? no longer all laptops might have them, so if your no longer happy consistent with risk you may return it, particularly sicne dell is possibly between the all-time worst manufacturers to purchase. they are services to all varieties of problems.

Hi Taylor,

I would recommend you to disconnect external peripherals like printers, to check if any of the external devices are causing the issue.

Also, perform flea power on the laptop. Remove the AC adapter, battery and any external peripherals connected, now hold the power button down for 10 seconds to drain static power. Restart the system and check if issue is resolved.

Since you are not able to boot into Safe Mode, boot to Windows Recovery & try system restore outside windows environment. Refer to the link: http://dell.to/1137HoH

Choose Method 2. Unable to Access the Desktop

If the issue still persists you may have to perform a factory reset. Refer to the link to guide you through the steps of resetting (PC restore): http://dell.to/11I8IlP

If PC restore is not successful, perform Operating System Reinstallation using Windows Media CDs. Refer to the link: http://dell.to/15MYHsz

Note: All data would be deleted while performing PC restore or Operating System Reinstallation.

Hope this helps.

Thanks and Regards
