Broke My Droid X, Rooted, What To Do?

Postby cuchulain » Sun Oct 08, 2017 12:57 am

I just rooted my droid x last night.
Everything worked fine.
Then I went to change to the MIUI rom.
I backed up everything, formatted, then started installing MIUI from SD card.
In the middle of installing, my phone dies.
I had it plugged into the wall but I guess it doesn't charge when in recovery mode? Anyways so now the OS is dead, it wont charge because it has no OS, and I can't get into recovery mode or anything because it's dead.
I heard verizon will charge the batteries, but will they help me since I rooted my device? Or should I just buy a battery charger off amazon(I've already found some) and use a crap old phone until it comes?

No tools! I had the same problem on my xperia neo v. it went off while installing a custom Rom. this is what I did:

I went to buy a cheap universal charger, removed the battery and chArged it, till it was full, after that, I put it back in and rebooted into recovery! and it worked perfectly!!!

try that, cheapest safest method possible

The Droid X does not come equipped with a sim card slot. it relatively is a CDMA telephone and runs on Verizon's community. A telephone ought to be GSM to artwork with T-cellular...and for destiny reference, "penal complex broken" is observed as "Root" on Android. :)
